i3status takes quite a whike to catch up

Left to startup i3 loads fine however the status bar does not yet show up,

If I input "i3status" before it shows up it outputs trying to auto detect output setting and autodetected - term

and theres always a fair wait before theres the output.

I tried some other bars and inputs but I have had no success with alternative inputs

It may be easier for people to help if you can paste the actual error messages rather than paraphrasing them.

What other bars did you try and with what results?  Were there errors?  If so include the errors in full.

I cant really set up other bars im not happy with them there were no errors, its just the i3status taking a while, how could I find an error in order to post it, it just takes 5mins to start.
