So after upgrading to 4.6.5-2-ck from repo-ck, my laptop (Asus G771JW) started freezing on cold boot.
So I switch on my extension cord, power up my laptop and everything works fine until it gets to the desktop.
After the cinnamon startup animation the machine is completely frozen, it wont respond to anything and I can't access other VTs.
Everything works after I forcefully power off the laptop and boot again.
I don't see any errors in the journal (using journalctl); this is the last line written to it before the forced shutdown:
systemd[1]: Started udev Kernel Device Manager.
Anyone else having problems like this?
Edit:
This didn't happen in 4.6.4-1-ck

Getting kernel panic as well just that I'm using linux-ck aur package, it's due to new BFQv8 patch. Either downgrade the kernel to 4.6.4-1-ck or change IO scheduler as suggested by graysky here https://aur.archlinux.org/pkgbase/linux-ck/#news
Speak your mind even if your voice shakes.

Removing "elevator=bfq" from kernel parameters solved this. Thanks glavin.
