Yesterday I've installed Arch on my company laptop. Trachpoint works well fortunately, but the touchpad has a strange behavior by default. It looks like it map the corsor's absolute place on the screen to the touch place on the pad. So like when I touch the pad on the top right corner, the cursor goes to the top right corner of the screen immediately. It is similar to a touchscreen behavior, but with the touchpad .

I am not an expert of the xinput parameters so I could only disable the whole touchpad to avoid unintended touches .
Can I fix it with some xinput setting of it is a more serious issue in some driver?
Thanks in advance!

I managed to install arch just now and have encountered the same issue.
Lenovo Z50-70
has anyone found a solution?

I have the same problem. It only occurs when using "xf86-input-evdev", not "xf86-input-libinput". I have an Elantech trackpad on a Dell Inspiron i7559.
