Unstable WiFi with Broadcom 43142 and Broadcom DKMS

I've installed Arch right now. Installed KDE, AMD graphic drivers and broadcom-wl-dkms from AUR (and linux-headers). The WiFi works but is very unstable, it's disconnected every 1 minute, so, I can't install any package.

I think is due to the kernel version. I had Fedora 24 before Arch and everything was fine until make a system update (Kernel 4.5) and the same problem happen. Maybe I have to install the LTS kernel?

Thanks.

Re: Unstable WiFi with Broadcom 43142 and Broadcom DKMS

I have news. After install the LTS kernel, the problem still here. Tired of this shit, I've installed Windows 10 and the same problem ocurrs. So, I'm pretty sure that the driver version 6.30.xxx.xxx is not fully compatible with Broadcom 43142. On Windows, after update the driver to 7.x, the connection works fine.

Tomorrow I'll test with a previous version of the driver for Arch. I hope this works in Arch, otherwise I will be forced to use Windows as the main OS sad

Buy a USB network adapter. That's got to be better than Windows!

Haha, yeah, you are complete right wink I'll buy a network adapter tomorrow if I can't find a solution. Thanks for comment.

The signal strength appears to grew after change the encryption algorithm to AES(was TKIP/AES). I will still testing the rest of day.

UPDATE: after test for some hours, the problem is back. Anyway, I'll still testing until the usb network adapter arrives tongue

PS: f**k you, Broadcom.
