Dear fellow,
My Arch system cannot start 'systemd-modules-load.service'. It complains that vboxguest, vboxsf, and vboxvideo modules cannot be found. However, I have previous removed virtualbox-guest-dkms. And the system does not have virtualbox-guest-utils installed. In the system, only virtualbox 5.1.2-2 and virtualbox-host-modules-arch 5.1.2-1 are installed.
Can you help me out?
Here are detailed output:
# systemctl start systemd-modules-load.service
Job for systemd-modules-load.service failed because the control process exited with error code.
See "systemctl status systemd-modules-load.service" and "journalctl -xe" for details.

I had the exact same issue yesterday after installing Plasma. I simply removed everything virtualbox related and the errors is gone. Going to try installing virtualbox again this afternoon.

I have previous removed virtualbox-guest-dkms...
And did you clean out /etc/modules-load.d/?

Thank you. I can try that. However, I need to use VirtualBox at the moment. I'll try that later, if no other solution turns out!

I uninstalled plasma and kde-applications and reinstalled virtualbox according to wiki, but get same or similar issue

Same here. Uninstalled, removed hooks, removed lib32 (I was installing android-studio which seems to be 32bit), can't get xmonad (X11) to run anymore and clean install of virtualbox-guest-utils + virtualbox-guest-modules-arch results in systemd failing to start the modules service, inet interface can't be found, and systemd doesn't shutdown properly anymore (need a reset usually to reboot, shutdown etc hangs long, long time)
I'm guessing there is a bug that I hope is fixed soon...

@magnus: ahh... I had that thought yesterday, I wish I would have because now it isn't even picking up the bloody network interface, dhcpcd is failing each time and no longer do I have any vbox guest packages installed.
Guess I should try and add it manually with `ip` for now to get pacman running... or use Arch ISO to bootstrap and chroot/pacstrap myself a new kernel then. Thanks for confirming anyway.

Sorry for offtopic, but i need vbox right now and have same problem. How to revert to lts kernel? Just install linux-lts package?
