xmobar will not start after logout from xmonad

Hi, I am using xmobar with xmonad with LightDM as the display manager. Everything works fine, but when I logout of xmonad (Alt + Shift + Q) and log back in xmobar does not start. I have confirmed  via "ps -ef | grep -i xmobar" that it is really not starting and not just being hidden. I have looked at the Arch wikis for xmobar, xmonad and LightDM and searched these forums and haven't been able to find anything, this is in addition to quite a bit of googling.

Here are my .xmobarrc and xmonad.hs

Versions:

  • xmonad 0.12

  • xmobar 0.24.2

Here is what I have tried to far:

  1. Using the default configuration for .xmobarrc.

  2. Using a minimal xmonad.hs that just sets the terminal and starts xmobar.

    main = xmonad =<< xmobar def {terminal = "urxvt"}
  3. Using xmobar from the official repositories and xmobar-git from AUR.

  4. Reinstalled xmonad and xmobar.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Please let me know if I can provide more information. Thanks.
