[solved] Dual booting two GNU/linux

Hi there,

I won't ask for any help in this topic but only for info as I'm curious.
I wanted to know the correct way to create a dual boot with two linux, speaking about partitioning scheme.
What is the good practice when installing such a dual boot ?

I don't understand if each linux needs its own /boot partition. When installing grub, you install it for the whole HD or related to one /boot partition ? so you just install it once, or is it related to the /boot partition ?

thank you very much by advance, I want to understand smile

Re: [solved] Dual booting two GNU/linux

thx, duckduckgo should have lead me to this, so you install grub in one specific /boot once, install the other distro, updated the grub custom cfg file manually and run the grub mkconfig command is that right ? so that you only need one single /boot partition ?
