Hi there!
I finally installed vmware and then tried to run SuSE Enterprise Server as Guest-OS.
Problem is that my system can't display the standard solution 1024x768 for the Guest-OS.
I read that I have to add my VMWare to the xorg.conf!
Is that right?
Someone there who can help me out with that?
THX...
Cheers, Maikel

Here is a screenshot of it:

If I use any other solution vmware tells me to add it into my Screen-Section of xorg!
I tried i few settings but nothing changed.

Maybe this helps: http://bugs.archlinux.org/task/4003
You need to use vmware driver in guest OS' xorg.conf and set HorizSync and VertSync to any values, except 0. Then add required mode line (1024x768) at 24bit colour and set it as default.

looks like in your "Screen" section, it should have
Device "Device1"
instead of
Device "Device0"

How should this work?
If i change that, my xserver tries to start with the vmware driver instead of my nvidia driver.
That doesn´t work!

You should use vmware driver, not nvidia, in your guest OS. And it should work. Try vesa if it does not.
Just for clarification: is this xorg.conf from your guest OS?
You should make all changes only in guest OS' xorg.conf. If vmware does not work in SuSE ES then you should probably post on SuSE forums, I think someone already has a solution there.

Before VMware can use graphics modes on guest OS the guest needs to have the graphic environment up and running.
This means doing a text-based install, have the guest OS configure the graphic environment and THEN you can switch to graphics.
It's one of the differences between real and virtual machines.
You will need to do a text-based install of SLES, configure X11, then install VMware tools.
Disliking systemd intensely, but not satisfied with alternatives so focusing on taming systemd.
clean chroot building not flexible enough ?
Try clean chroot manager by graysky

Thanks, will do so...
Just thought i can confige the "guest-system-window" to any solution.
