Hi all
There is a new arch mirror located in Switzerland:
Update: each hour.
Thanks to Puzzle ITC [ http://puzzle.ch/ ] for providing the mirror. After my
request for an arch mirror in Switzerland, they agreed to provide one.
I've created an updated mirror list in the wiki:
http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Mirrors
Please update the list if possible.
See also this bug:

Puzzle, fine, and even with hourly syncs. They supply a SF.net download mirror, so mirroring Arch shouldn't be a problem I guess.
Also, take a look at http://bugs.archlinux.org/task/4633 ... he makes some good points there.

I just did a pacman -Syu with this new server (having done a psyu with hosteurope.de 2 hours ago) and I see that some packages that are installed at my system are newer than on the repo. So hosteurope is at least this time faster then puzzle.. let's see how this developes ![]()

I also tried the mirror a few hours ago and it is outdated at least 4 hours. I'll give it a further try in a few days.

oops, sorry mate
The puzzle mirror was a good idea and has a great response time. (and is up to date now!)
Cheers Sigi

I don't know what happend but archlinux.puzzle.ch seems to be pretty slow these days. While I got ~ 2.4MB/s before, now I get about 150KB/s. I'm sitting in ZH-city and my router is connected to Cablecom.
BTW: Has archlinux.worldweb2000.com something to do with puzzle.ch? pacman connects there everytime I sync my packages..

archlinux.puzzle.ch is an alias for archlinux.worldweb2000.com.
archlinux.worldweb2000.com has address 195.141.111.17Got no problems so far with Puzzle, but there weren't any large pkgs to install or upgrade in the last few days.
By the way, I have been using HTTP mirrors ever since Pacman 3 was released.

I haven't been using Puzzle recently, but have always gotten very dissatisfying speeds when I tried downloading from them (both SF.net and Arch).
(For the record, I'm usually in Neuchâtel or at the University of Fribourg)
