[solved] Can't start ZeroNet

Hi,

I'd like to checkout ZeroNet, installed it from AUR, followed the following post-installation instruction:

>>>   sudo usermod -a -G tor zeronet
>>>   sudo mkdir -m 750 /var/lib/tor-auth && sudo chown tor:tor /var/lib/tor-auth
>>> Add/edit the following options in /etc/tor/torrc:
>>>   CookieAuthentication 1
>>>   CookieAuthFileGroupReadable 1
>>>   CookieAuthFile /var/lib/tor-auth/control_auth_cookie
>>> Restart tor (reload not enough):
>>>   sudo systemctl restart tor
>>> Run daemon and check status and view log:
>>>   sudo systemctl start zeronet
>>>   sudo systemctl status zeronet
>>>   sudo journalctl -u zeronet

but can't seem to start it.

If I execute

 python2 zeronet.py

I get:

- Starting ZeroNet...
Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "zeronet.py", line 15, in main
    import main
  File "src/main.py", line 32, in <module>
    os.mkdir(config.log_dir)
OSError: [Errno 13] Permission denied: 'log'
Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "zeronet.py", line 62, in <module>
    main()
  File "zeronet.py", line 46, in main
    traceback.print_exc(file=open("log/error.log", "a"))
IOError: [Errno 2] No such file or directory: 'log/error.log'

What am I doing wrong?

Re: [solved] Can't start ZeroNet

From the error message, it looks like permission issues. Have you already read the comments on the AUR? Namely:

@xantares what kind of error messages did you get? Zeronet needs writeable …/data and …/log directories in /opt/zeronet if they're not already there.

Re: [solved] Can't start ZeroNet

Thank you, that was it. It was acutally already working, the messages were not critical.
