Modifying QT/KDE application themes from gnome or other wm.

I tried to use qtconfig, but kdelib dependent apps didn't want to change their theme or font...
but it worked for opera which depends on QT. (but only the main menu and save dialogs, the rest are skinned)

is there a program for that, or i must use kcontrol?

I think KControl is simply a front-end for editing configuration files. Have a look in the directory ~/.kde (maybe in ~/.kde/share/config) and see if you can find the right config file to edit. I don't know if it is easy to do this way, but maybe it is possible.
