Openbox menu separator padding height

Hello everyone, I was messing around with my openbox configuration, after downloading and applying a theme. I'm trying to adjust it to my likings but there's something I can't change  about the menu and I'd like some advice.
I'll post a screenshot so you can see my "problem"

So, basically I'd like to reduce the space between two separators, so that the in-between menu title will be at almost the same distance as the menu items are now. I've read on the openbox website about the menu.separator.padding.height element but even setting it to 0 won't do the job (well, it works for the menu item, but not for the title). Is there any other theme element I'm not aware of? I've searched the whole openbox theme webpage but couldn't find anything useful about this. Can it be something that has to do with the menu title itself rather than the separators?
Thanks.
