[SOLVED]Resume from suspend not working with AMDGPU and RX470

I recently bought a Sapphire Nitro+ 470 8gb, and installed it with the AMDGPU open source drivers. Everything works perfectly, games, compositing. But every time I try to suspend my computer, it seems the suspend is working fine but when I try to resume, I only get a black screen with no cursor. I can't ssh into the computer so I can not check any error messages. It seems the computer froze. I have tried with kernel 4.9 from git, and mesa and drivers from git aswell. Every time it's the same result. It was working fine with my older Nvidia card. I have a fully upgraded system from stable repositories at the moment. I use KDE Plasma. Any ideas how to solve or troubleshoot?

Sorry for awaking this dead thread but if anyone else stumbles upon this, after switching my SSD from AHCI back to IDE mode it works again. Seems the graphics card had nothing to do with it.
