Imperfect silent boot

Hello, new user here, but a long time lurker.

By following the instruction in https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Silent_boot I was able to achieve an almost perfectly silent boot (with Plymouth). However, two things are still missing:

  • The console cursor appears during startup. I can confirm this can be solved by passing vt.global_cursor_default=0 to the kernel (source).

  • I get watchdog and reboot/shutdown messages when I power off my computer (systemd 231-1).

Concerning the second point, is there anything I can do about it?

Note that I did not yet disable fsck messages, but as far as I understand it's unrelated.
