Hi, I recently made a system update after sometime not having done so.
Right after I rebooted my computer my sound was not working anymore.
After searching sometime "by myself" and not finding any solution I come here.
Since I didn't find any relevent information, beside that a bunch of solution didn't work.
I'll just post what I think relevant (And that might not be) so here I go.
dmesg | grep -C 2 snd

Hi, I recently made a system update after sometime not having done so.
How long is "sometime"? What got updated? Post your pacman.log.
What "bunch of solutions" have you tried?

Thank you for your reply WorMzy.
How long is "sometime"?
It has probably been at least one month since my last update.
What got updated?
I didn't quite recall since there was a lot of update.
Here is the pacman.log related to the update.
https://paste.pound-python.org/show/bB2 … cXtpbmlwz/
I changed some modprobe options such as:
options snd_hda_intel single-cmd=1
options snd_hda_intel model=auto
options snd_hda_intel probe_mask=1
I searched into the bios to see if there was any option to enable sound.
I tried to downgrade linux kernel and linux-api-headers.
There was a forum thread which told to boot into Windows and issue a clean shutdown when using dualboot, so I did that as well.
Most forum thread I bumped into seemed to be dated from at most 2 two month ago.
(It might be an interesting piece of information)
I think that's pretty much it.
EDIT: I'm sorry for the pastebin, I've change it to one that doesn't seem to use captcha

Please use a pastebin that doesn't require us to answer stupid capchas...

I have no idea what happened but my sound seems to work now.
Thank's for the replies.

Sorry, I thought I replied to this yesterday, I must never have hit submit. A month isn't too bad, although it's certainly not the most ideal; the important thing is that you haven't got any news to catch up on.
Could it have been a hardware issue (did you hear anything when booted into Windows, e.g. the startup chime)? What state is your system in now, is anything still downgraded?
