Pacman and wifi

Hi, I'd wanna ask you somethinh about my download speed on pacman.
When I update my system by wifi the download speed is 140 kbps to 190 kbps (ridiculous) , my internet speed is 50 MB, when I update by LAN the download up to 5000 mbps app... If I download any thing by wifi the speed is good just pacman fails, is this normal?, can i improve the velocity?, thanks.

No, it's definitely not normal.  The most likely cause is that you are using a bad mirror (bad as in it *might* be  bad itself, or just bad for you due to location).

Use reflector to get good mirros.  And/or try curl'ing a file directly from the mirror and see if your speed is the same as pacman in order to test if this is the problem.
