Hi,
I have a small laptop and a machine on the desk, connected to speakers. I would like to carry all the sound from the laptop to the speakers somehow.

Okay? What have you tried?

Mobo: MSI MAG X570S TORPEDO MAX // Processor: AMD Ryzen 9 5950X @4.9GHz // GFX: AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT // RAM: 32GB (4x 8GB) Corsair DDR4 (@ 3000MHz) // Storage: 1x 3TB HDD, 6x 1TB SSD, 2x 120GB SSD, 1x 275GB M2 SSD

One option I taught of is just buying a 3.5 mm cable, with which i can connect to 2 computers to the speakers, but that is not very smart . So I think there is probably suppose to be a way to send all the sound from the laptop in the other computer with ssh (the 2 machines are connected to the same network). So I got familiar with establishing a ssh connection and forwarding sound with X and paprefs, but that doesn't forward all of the sound, but just this from the programs I have opened with ssh.

Is pulseaudio an option?
EDIT: beyond a total sound mirroring, are you trying to achieve something more specific (ie you want to play music or have audio from youtube forwarded, etc.)?

CPU-optimized Linux-ck packages @ Repo-ck • AUR packages • Zsh and other configs

Nothing specific, just to send everything.
Yes, that was my idea from the beginning. I installed paprefs on both machines. But on the one of the computers I cannot select all the options in the PulseAudio Preferences, like "Make discoverable PulseAduio network sound devices available locally" and "Allow other machines on the LAN to discover local sound devices", while on the other one it seems ok.

I succeed with pulseaudio!

Can you elaborate on what you did to fix why it wasn't working initially?
