I have Arch Linux running Cinnamon 3.0.7 with Intel HD Graphics (Mesa DRI Intel(R) Ivybridge Mobile, using xf86-video-intel).
Formerly in Debian I was able to make screencasts without issues (with ssr, vokoscreen, OBS, etc), but since I'm using the same software with the same setup to record the screen in Arch, I'm experiencing the graphical issues described on title:

The same applies on GNOME and/or other non-compositing desktop environments. Also tried with other codecs and got the same results.
Anyone experiencing the same issue? Driver problems?

Have you tried using the modesetting driver instead? Simply remove xf86-video-intel, and possibly /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/20-intel.conf and reboot.

Yay! Deleted /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/20-intel.conf, uninstalled xf86-video-intel driver and that seems to work as fine as before. Thanks!
I didn't remember that I can use the modesetting driver. Also tried before with DRI2 without success (very slow) and also with UXA acceleration method (even more laggy).

FYI, read the big note at the top of this page: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Intel_graphics
Also, it's good practice to edit the thread title and mark it as "[SOLVED]" if your problem is gone
