GTK+ segfault

Hey there,
I'm having a bit of a problem : I recently updated my archlinux (can't remember which packages).

Ever since that, every gtk2 app I have segfaults on startup. Chromium, geany, some self-compiled programs... all segfault at the exact same moment in initialization. I've recompiled gtk2 with debugging support and attempted debugging the segfault, to no avail. Here's the backtrace I obtain when starting geany :

#0 0x00007ffff6abc7c0 in _gdk_input_common_init () at /usr/lib/libgdk-x11-2.0.so.0
#1 0x00007ffff6a90518 in gdk_display_open () at /usr/lib/libgdk-x11-2.0.so.0
#2 0x00007ffff6a5de02 in gdk_display_open_default_libgtk_only () at /usr/lib/libgdk-x11-2.0.so.0
#3 0x00007ffff6e44672 in IA__gtk_init_check (argc=<optimized out>, argv=<optimized out>) at gtkmain.c:1006
#4 0x00007ffff79b72b4 in main_lib () at /usr/lib/libgeany.so.0
#5 0x00007ffff73aa291 in __libc_start_main () at /usr/lib/libc.so.6
#6 0x00000000004005e9 in ()

For some reason, doing "list" in gdb fails with "no such file or directory", even though I compiled gtk+ with debugging support. It looks like libgdk-x11 doesn't have the debugging symbols, even though I compiled with --enable-debug=yes.

Anyway, git blame tells me _gdk_input_common_init hasn't changed since 2009, which makes it unlikely the problem comes from here. Does anyone have a hint at where the problem could come from ?

Re: GTK+ segfault

Probably the known issue with libxi. There's already a thread on it, and it should be fixed in the latest libxi package.
