How to disable keyboard when in tablet mode?

I've got an Acer chromebook R11 with the 360 degree hinge that can function as a hybrid-tablet. However, when I flip the screen into tablet mode, the keyboard continues functioning but the touchpad stops accepting input. How can I disable the keyboard after I transform the laptop into tablet mode? It's an Elan Touchscreen
