Hello.
I have two monitors with 1600x900 pixels, one is VGA and the other is DVI.
All worked fine until this week when I make an update (pacman -Syu).
I have only one screen od 1280x1024 (duplicated in both monitors), and the output is named DEFAULT.

I have installed xf86-video-ati and xf86-video-amdgpu
I test catalyst, but it not get installed by linux >4.7 and xorg>1.18
I don't like downgrades because i don't know then upgrade again to the last and right version and drivers.
It can be fixed at least in part, with two monitors?
Thanks in advance

Is this a laptop or a desktop, do you have one or more GPUs ?
please post full lspci -k output, xorg log and dmesg .
Use a pastebin client for the large ones.
also check https://bbs.archlinux.org/help.php#bbcode and use code tags to make your post easier readable.
Disliking systemd intensely, but not satisfied with alternatives so focusing on taming systemd.
clean chroot building not flexible enough ?
Try clean chroot manager by graysky

Thank you Lone_Wolf.

There is a video output in mother, but it not use.

Please share your ~/.local/share/xorg/Xorg.*.log and ensure linux-firmware and linux are both up-to-date.
Can you disable the intel IGP in the BIOS?
Offline
Hi Seth.
I have not files like ~/.local/share/X* nor ~/.local/share/x*
There ins't ~/.local/share/xorg
System is update
(today run yaourt -Syua without errors)

Try /var/log/Xorg.0.log - but check its timestamps.
Offline
Seth: yes, the file exist and there is only one (I delete other old logs).
I reboot the desktop, and I check the file is a few minutes old.
There is:

It's OK this?

But lspci show this loaded.
Plus, Screen 0 is deleted?
It is ok?

No, you're back on the VESA driver (what explains the resolutions), most likely because of absent /dev/dri/card0.
The cause will be the failing firmware loading. Force reinstall linux-firmware.
And don't use yaourt. Do you use a non-standard kernel?
Offline
No, I use the standard kernel, x64.
It works well since a year ago at least. But an update last week (broken?) the video outputs.
thank you, Now I will do the reinstalation

pacman -S --force linux-firmware

Warning gone on last pacman update?
Did you reboot afterwards?
Offline
Well.
Yes, I run a second time like you say me.
In the second runs, there is no warning. So i reboot.
I note the fault was the LICENCE data. I don't know what exactly are those files.
Now it fixed!!! I have my full resolutions and the two monitors!
Thank Seth!!
