T450s: xrandr does not VGA port

Hey guys,

xrandr does not recognize my Thinkpad T450s' VGA port anymore. It used to work a couple of weeks ago (haven't used that port in a while).

I already tried to install xf86-video-intel, didn't work (but VirtualBox's fullscreen mode was broken afterwards, so something happend ^^).

Some system information:

Any advise what I could do (aside from buying a VGA-to-DisplayPort adapter)?

Try another system (live linux, windows, ...) on whether you get a signal from the output at all.

Do you have a monitor connected to the VGA port? Is the monitor on and has it always returned proper edid data?

Look at this. It seems to be a kernel bug. You can fix it downgrading to 4.6.:

Oh, this sucks. How long das it usually take to fix such a bug?
