Calibre interface blown up elements [solved]

Hi,

I've noticed that Calibre shows everything blown up in proportion. Icons are bigger, drop down errors, and borders are way bigger than they should be. I tried my other laptop with the same resolution (1080p standard), and the problem does not exist on that machine. Wondering what settings I should look into? Other QT apps are fine on box. I've matched up qt5ct settings between the two (using gtk2 theme). Both machines are using Mate Desktop and stable repo.

Main interface (small icons):

Re: Calibre interface blown up elements [solved]

QT_AUTO_SCREEN_SCALE_FACTOR=0 calibre
or
QT_SCALE_FACTOR=1 calibre

This is likely caused by the value in "xdpyinfo| grep resolution"

Re: Calibre interface blown up elements [solved]

Thank you, that works great, I'll mark this as solved. However, both laptops are identical in resolution (confirmed by xdpyinfo on both). A little curious as to why it happens on one and not the other.

Check whether the environment is already set (to some bogus value)
