Tint2 gap on the left

Hello everyone,

I just installed tint2 'within' pekwm.

I, as a lazy human-being, picked a already made configuration file from deviant-art.

But when I launched tint2, I noticed a gap on the left of the bar, as if the padding is too big.

I changed the configuration file and tried another one, even struggling against my lazyness by making my own simple yet supposedly functional configuration file but I have the same problem : a weird gap on the left of the bar...

Here is my configuration file :

https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B7Dho … Wp3VzRxcms

And here is a look of the mean bug :

https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B7Dho … jBIeFJRNHM

I tried to reinstall tint2 but nothing...

In fact he bar is way much on the right.

Any idea ?

Thanks for your help  !

Re: Tint2 gap on the left

I just tried the config file and it works how it's supposed to. Is your window manager "reserving" that space in any way? Because it seems like your whole bar is shifted to the right. I would try a different window manager to pinpoint the culprit.

Re: Tint2 gap on the left

The only thing I can see is:

panel_position = bottom horizontal

This parameter needs three options:

panel_position = vertical_position horizontal_position orientation

I don't really know... Regarding my wm, I didn't change the setup, but that's not a bad idea, I'll try with another one thanks for the idea wink
I wanted to try pekwm but I think that I'm going back to an good old openbox at least to check if the issue is still here..

That was my first thought, but even with other values it seem that I have the same issue...

Re: Tint2 gap on the left

Do you say that if you use:

panel_position = bottom left horizontal

you get the same gap to the left of the screen?

Yes the problem persist...

I don't know if it helps but here is the trace when I launch tint manually :

xRandr: Found crtc's: 2
xRandr: Linking output eDP1 with crtc 0
No XSETTINGS manager, tint2 uses config option 'launcher_icon_theme'.
real transparency off.... depth: 24
panel items: TSBC
Systray composited rendering on
found mains "ADP0"
found battery "BAT0"
tint2 : nb monitor 1, nb monitor used 1, nb desktop 9
Kernel uevent interface initialized...
systray window 6291467
tint2 : systray started

I'm trying to figure if pekwm has some kind of padding configuration that would explain the gap...

Re: Tint2 gap on the left

I don't think that we should tag this thread as solved because I just switched to openbox and don't have the problem so it's pekwm related.
