ARK Survival Evolved on Steam

Hey guys,

I've got an issue with ARK, when I launch it, I get a dialog with 1 high ansi character and an OK button. I click OK and it closes, the game does not run.

I can launch Borderlands 2 and it runs fine, which tells me my drivers/libraries are OK.

I launch Steam from the terminal with steam-native. I use Intel integrated GPU, HD520 with latest intel drivers.

The output of ARK:

Nothing in that output that could be helpful, have you tried looking into e.g. the steam community forum on the game if anyone else has experienced a similar issue? Do you meet the minimum OGL requirements?

Yeah requirements are fine. I can't find anything sensible about this, the character is not always the same either.

Did you get this sorted, mouseman? I picked it up on the winter sale and am having the same issue.

*edit* I fixed my incarnation of the issue by switching to the amdgpu-pro drivers.

Hi,

other then what Martin (onslow77)  allready said,
do you maybe have your steam game library on an NTFS or some other then ext3/ext4 partition?
If you have space on the drive where your home folder is, try to install it there (if its not already there).
