Xmonad - Flickering when resizing windows

Hello,

I installed Arch some days ago and I'm currently using Xmonad as my main wm. One thing I've noticed is noticeable black flickering occuring around the edges of urxvt and gnome-terminal when I resize them using mod+h/l.
This is not a huge problem just kind of annoying.
I've read up on xorg but could not figure out a solution. My graphics card is an Intel HD 520.

Re: Xmonad - Flickering when resizing windows

Hi,
I guess a late answer is better than no answer,
I just installed XMonad myself and noticed the flickering on resizing too (that's how I got here);

the short answer is: use Compton.

the not-so-long answer would be: XMonad is just a window manager and cannot do fancy stuff about the rendering (like i3wm for example).
Compton is a composite manager and is there to provide a tear-free experience, and can also add some graphical effects.
I don't know much more than that;
This page might help you (it's about installing compton in xfce, but the configuration is the same, just skip "switch off existing compositor")
