I've tried a number of things including removing steam completely (and deleting directories) and reinstalling, reinstalling nvidia drivers (all the packages below) and following some troubleshooting steps online but cannot figure out what is preventing steam from opening a window. glxgears works fine but glxgears32 throws a BadValue error but that's it (which I'm not sure how to fix or if is even an issue).
I've checked into everything from this thread already but his resolution is not the same for me: https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=218406
It worked up until I did an update a couple days ago so I know it's related to it but I'd rather not try to run the system out of date if I can avoid. I've dumped some information down below but any suggestions would be appreciated.

Your nvidia and lib32-nvidia packages are out of sync. The version numbers should match. Looking at what's in the repos right now, you appear to be running multilib-testing without testing

I have no idea how that even happened, disabled that repo, downgraded and back in business.
Thank you so much.
