So, I updated my machine, including a new kernel, and now Steam is getting a segfault and CTD.
pacman.log covering the last set of updates installed before the problem occurred.
output of journalctl, showing what happened during the crash. Based on Google searches, this might be related to one or more of those updates I just installed. I'm hoping it's not the kernel update.

well libsdl2 is being listed in the stacktrace and was upgraded with your last update.
so have you tried downgrading libsdl2?
have you checked if steam itself provides a libsdl2 and force the system to use that one? (LD_PRELOAD)

After the update, I found that I had to use the following startup command:
LD_PRELOAD=/usr/lib32/libudev.so.1 STEAM_RUNTIME=0 steam-native steamto get everything working again. The issue regarding segfaults is also in the wiki.
