I have an Acer Aspire V5-552G-X852 dual booting Arch and Windows 10. I am currently using Kernel 4.7.2-1 x64 from the core repository. If I upgrade the kernel to anything newer and reboot, I will get a black screen and after a short time, the fans will ramp up to about 50% with nothing else happening. I can get the same behavior from using Arch installation media with newer kernels. dmesg
