I have no idea why but Code::Blocks won't start if I already started it then closed it.
What I'm experiencing is that at first launch it acts fine, then, even after system reboot, if I try to launch it again, it and gcc will just use my CPU at 100% (50% each) and nothing happens. I have to kill both processes, then I can start Code::Blocks again. But after that I have to redo the whole procedure all over again with killing the non-starting codeblocks and gcc processes.
This happens with v16.01-5 in the community repo and with the svn version available from AUR as well, also it doesn't matter if I'm using gcc (6.2.1-1) from the core or the multilib repo.
This is the output I get when I successfully start it from console:
Warning: Mismatch between the program and library build versions detected.

What, so everyone's supposed to sleep every single night now? You realize that nighttime makes up half of all time?

What I first look at these lines, I for sure thought this would be whats wrong
The library used 2.8 (no debug,Unicode,compiler with C++ ABI 1009,wx containers,compatible with 2.6),
and your program used 2.8 (no debug,Unicode,compiler with C++ ABI 1010,wx containers,compatible with 2.6).Notice the C++ ABI 1009 versus C++ ABI 1010 being used. However, when I opened my copy of codeblocks:
[jbs@dmb-gaming-laptop] $ whoami
jbs
[jbs@dmb-gaming-laptop] $ codeblocks
Warning: Mismatch between the program and library build versions detected.
The library used 2.8 (no debug,Unicode,compiler with C++ ABI 1009,wx containers,compatible with 2.6),
and your program used 2.8 (no debug,Unicode,compiler with C++ ABI 1010,wx containers,compatible with 2.6).The same warning appears. I'm even more confused because I have Code::Blocks Release 16.01 rev 10692 like you do, and my version doesn't crash. This leads me to believe something additional (plugins? missing deps?? conflicting version???) must be causing your problem. Or, you would expect me to have similar hangs/crashes too. The most obvious being plugins, have you installed or modified anything there? Have you recently changed any code::blocks settings? I run with zero additional plugins/compilers/etc. You may want to try the same and see if you still have issues.

I am diagnosed with bipolar disorder. As it turns out, what I thought was my greatest weakness is now my greatest strength.
Everyday, I make a conscious choice to overcome my challenges and my problems. It's not easy, but its better than the alternative...

No plugins and no custom settings. I even deleted the config directory after uninstalling Code::Blocks, then reinstalled it, did the same with the svn version but no luck. I also wondered about that warning, did a lot of search but everywhere they say that the bug that caused crashes is already fixed and even if the warning appears, it shouldn't cause any problems.

Same thing is happening to me.
I can wipe the ~/.config/codeblocks/default.conf file and it will start successfully for the first time (although unconfigured), but the next time it will hang forever after printing
Added compiler "GNU GCC Compiler"No plugins, no anything. First time using Code::Blocks.
