Firefox will onnly run as "root"

I have an issue with firefox it will only run if I start it as root.

If I use my normal user I get this error:

/opt/mozilla/lib/firefox-1.5.0.3/run-mozilla.sh: line 131: 5433 Segmentation fault "$prog" ${1+"$@"}

Any ideas?

Are the permissions of your firefox directory in $HOME correct ?

Not sure what should they be?

Read,write, execute for me? and then what access for others?

It looks like I am the owner and I have full permissions, all others have no rights.

You probably did, but did you check also the subfolders permissions ?

I had a similar seg fault message. For me, it turned out to be related to pango.

Ah thanks for that but i solved it my self.......

......I just loaded up Opera and it works a treat.

Lazy but I dont have time at the moment to be digging around with stuff and always good to see what else is out there......

I appear to hve read write access to /tmp as well
