Ayttm - done!

I have dumped gaim and I installed Ayttm from source and it works great. It would be nice to have this on a repo tho. I don't imagine it would be hard to create one as it was very straight forward to compile.
I might do it if I get around to it, but I am working on other things now and if an "official" package maintainer did it, it could get on the repo for everyone.

(yeah, its not as "pretty", but it works a lot better than gaim imho)

i agree with this request but i never managed to get msn plugins working .... did you have success with this?

gaim is always funked out in some way so it would be really nice to have a stable replacement for it.

Re: Ayttm - done!

Yes I saw this package before I made it myself but I couldn't find your PKGBUILD (did you publish it somewhere?). Also I installed your version but it doesn't seem to support gpgme encryption. Did you managed to make it properly discover arts and xft too? These where the reasons why I tried to improve it a little. And as I mentioned above there were a lot of updates in the cvs version. And I still can't get ayttm (both versions mine and yours) to work properly with my jabber account.

EDIT I've just noticed that I posted this comment to the wrong ayttm thread :-). It should be placed in http://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php? … highlight=

Re: Ayttm - done!

Ayttm looked ok, but it worked buggy with vncviewer for some reason...
