[SOLVED] How can I execute Gnome Shell without Wayland?

Wayland is still buggy and there are much applications that it doesn't work well on Wayland.
I want to execute Gnome with X (without Wayland) but I can't. I have 2 sessions in GDM and both execute Wayland.
How can I execute Gnome with X?

how do you determine that "gnome on xorg" launches gnome on wayland? (notice that GDM uses wayland by default as well, check the wiki - so wayland will still be in use)

If you're sure that "gnome on xorg" runs on wayland, do you have required xorg packages (xorg-server for one) installed?
