GNOME klipper replacement

My move to GNOME has gone OK but there is one thing I'm missing and thats a GNOME, or non DE specific, KDE KLIPPER replacement. Or more specifically the ability to perfrom actions on clipboard enteries.

In KDE I would copy some text, perform an action on it to reformat the text (e.g. echo -n "%s"|sed 's/[^ ,._-]\+/\u&/g'|tr -d ' .,:?!#\f\r\t'|awk -vRS='' -vFS='\n' '{print $2"-BG-"$1"-"}') and then have the result replace the orginal clipboard entry. All this within KLIPPER.

I would have mutlple actions in KLIPPER that I could use to edit the entry depending on what I copied.

Is there anything out there that can do this?
