Weird behaviour after suspension

When I suspend my computer using

echo mem | sudo tee /sys/power/state

It goes down correctly. If I wait just a few seconds, I can wake it up by pressing any key. If I wait let's say more than 20 seconds, I can wake it up only by pressing the power button.

More than this,  after it comes back from the sleep state, keyboard and mouse are working fine, but just for half a minute. Then not only they start not responding, but the power is being cut off completely from them. If I plug them in again, they either are not gonna be detected/mounted (?). I just can press the reset button at that point.

Ideas?

Re: Weird behaviour after suspension

And lookout for any "weird" usb adapters; my tvstick causes similar behavior (somehow messing the entire USB stack) so i kick the module before suspend and reload it after wakeup. Problem gone.
