Hi,
for debugging another issue, I need to turn of log ratelimiting.
The manpage for journald.conf(5) mentions the two options "RateLimitIntervalSec", and "RateLimitBurst" and says that "To turn off any kind of rate limiting, set either value to 0." I did so in my /etc/systemd/journald.conf file, but unfortunately these options seem to have no effect. My current log file shows that on booting the settings seem to be loaded:
[ 16.016356] systemd-journald[174]: Setting both rate limit interval and burst from 0,1000 to 0,0
Yet still, the log contains several messages showing that there still messages being dropped:
[ 121.563171] systemd-shutdow: 643 output lines suppressed due to ratelimiting
...
[ 122.783439] systemd-journal: 37 output lines suppressed due to ratelimiting
So my question is obviously: how can I really turn off rate limiting?
