[SOLVED] Steam controller stops working

When I plug my controller it works fine. When I start steam, it stops responding. If I plug it out and in again, it works for a while, then stops. The console says:

For some reason steam thinks I have 3 controllers (when I check Big Picture). I also tried the instructions from the wiki

It was working fine some time ago...

Same problem here.
I use the Steam controller with the wireless dongle.
When the dongle is not attached steam starts fine, as soon as i attach the dongle and turn on the controller steam freezes and can only be killed.
The output can be found at 1).
As for udev rule configuration I also use the udev rule described in Gamepad#Steam_Controller_Not_Pairing.

The problem is faulty steam, not faulty linux. Just activate steam beta and this fixes the issue.
