Getting HDMI output to work on Intel Skylake card

I have a HP Zbook Studio notebook with the following VGA cards:

kjozsa@manta:~$ lspci | grep VGA
00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation HD Graphics 530 (rev 06)
01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: NVIDIA Corporation GM107GLM [Quadro M1000M] (rev a2)

While the Quadro M1000M sounds good on paper, it draws way too much from the battery and its vent gets extremely noise on any load, so I'm better off with using the Intel Skylake card which is perfect for work and is also fine (and dead silent!) for indie gaming.

One caveat is HDMI was working automatically on the NVidia card and I can't really get it to work anyhow on the Intel:

kjozsa@manta:~$ xrandr

kjozsa@manta:~$ xrandr --output HDMI --mode 1920x1080

What could I do to get HDMI output to work on my Intel card?
