[SOLVED] Interesting bug with lock screen, GNOME related maybe?

Just finished installing arch on my new rig this morning! Everything is running smoothly! However I've ran into an odd bug.

Upon boot (I'm using gummi) It would go straight to the user login. It wouldn't show a picture or anything after it loaded all the modules and what not. So when I went to change my background and noticed the section for lock screen so I chose a picture for that.

Ever since I did that whenever I boot up the system after it loads the modules the screen is just blank, whats even weirder is that when I hit the power button to hibernate and press it again to "wake up" it shows the lock screen and I'm able to login and use it as normal.
Any way to fix this? I'm using the latest version of gnome and xorg if it helps.

Follow up, as per the archwiki on configuring GDM, I downlaoded the gdm3setup off of AUR, I noticed wayland was enabled through it, I disabled it, rebooted and now its working fine.
