Mouse buttons stopped working in cinnamon mostly.

I just ran a pacman -Syu and now cinnamon is unusable for the most part since the panel, window title bars and most window contents won't accept mouse button presses or mousewheel turns anymore.
No matter if I use the touchpad in my laptop or plug in a USB mouse, behaviour is the same.
The only thing that reliably works in the menu which I can open with the super key and then use the mouse in.

I already tried installing xf86-input-libinput, but it didn't help.
I tried resetting the cinnamon theme, but it didn't help either.

Mouse works fine in vanilla GNOME shell.

What else can I try to get my cinnamon functional again or is it just incompatible with the latest GNOME/GTK updates?

Re: Mouse buttons stopped working in cinnamon mostly.

dconf reset -f /org/cinnamon/

helped.
Caveat is that I had to redo all my settings.
