I have a fresh install of Arch on my desktop computer, core i5, integrated intel graphics i915. Everything is working perfectly as far as I can see. I do however see this error message on every boot.
[ 1.303836] [drm:intel_cpu_fifo_underrun_irq_handler [i915]] *ERROR* CPU pipe A FIFO underrun
[ 1.303888] [drm:intel_set_pch_fifo_underrun_reporting [i915]] *ERROR* uncleared pch fifo underrun on pch transcoder A
[ 1.303931] [drm:intel_pch_fifo_underrun_irq_handler [i915]] *ERROR* PCH transcoder A FIFO underrun
In my searching and reading the only thing I could find is there might be an issue with xf86-video-intel. As I don't see any problems with performance or any other things should I just ignore the message and leave it alone?
Thanks for any input.

I had the same Problem on my Laptop. I buy a new one and now the problem is gone.
Hope I could help you!

If you don't see any problems while using your machine then don't worry too much about that, but you should still report the problem upstream.

@OP - You can rule out the xf86-video-intel driver package by removing it and using the modesetting driver (shipped with xorg). Those messages have been in my dmesg a while back (Haswell) but they seemed to have been fixed. What gen i5 do you have?

CPU-optimized Linux-ck packages @ Repo-ck • AUR packages • Zsh and other configs
