Hello,
uname -r
4.8.13-1-ARCH
uname -r
4.4.38-1-lts
Using mesa-libgl I'm able to get a display on any manager, however with nvidia-libgl all I get is a black screen.
I've updated microcode (i5 4690k), though it has seemed to affect nothing. Not sure if using mesa would affect performance at all.
Concerning nvidia drivers, testing performance with Minecraft, all drivers I've tried (375.20-3 | 370.28-2 | 367.35-3 | 364.19-5 AND lts versions 375.20-2 | 370.28-2 | 367.35-2 | 364.19-3) result in opengl errors. Trying to play anything else eg Rocket League, the game runs at less than 1 fps.
Nouveau drivers get less than 1 fps when simply using the display (even in tty it will seem sluggish when typing).
I can't find anybody else having issues with all the nvidia drivers giving this poor performance, but the main question is how would I go about troubleshooting this?
