Battery discharges while AC is plugged in!

On Lenovo ThinkPad L450 with Kernel 4.8.13 I have an issue with the battery status:

 $ acpi -i
 Battery 0: Discharging, 97%, discharging at zero rate - will never fully discharge.
 Battery 0: design capacity 3882 mAh, last full capacity 3669 mAh = 94%

I have installed both the

tlp

and

acpi_call

.

Also, it is ignoring my "On AC" power management settings and just uses my "On Battery" power settings in KDE settings!

Thanks in advance!

Re: Battery discharges while AC is plugged in!

It could be that your laptop has battery charge thresholds and is currently over the threshold it's set to.

have a look at

https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/tp_smapi#Control_Battery_Charging

and see if changing the threshold to 100% changes the behaviour.

Re: Battery discharges while AC is plugged in!

I have asus and have exact same. Windows also gives same info. I assumed charging is controlled by firmware and this is just the format of the report. Could you report back if you found any conclusions.
