upgrading file... done.this happens over and over and over again. it wants to upgrade 'file' i tried deleting the cache, that didn't seem to help. i didn't see anything bad in the log file either. any clues?

perhaps your pacman is not the most current version? this can cause problems on occasion.

with the help of judd i was able to fix this issue, it was an old file directory in the pacman directories.
