Since the last upgrade of okular (and other KDE software) to 16.12, I cannot figure any more how to set printer options for a print job, like paper feed selection, media type, eco printing and stuff like that. The whole button that used to be placed in the old print dialog is gone now - have I missed something? Is there a way to enable that? I can still set all these things globally by changing the printer settings, but that is not really a solution.

Same problem here with Okular and other KDE applications with print dialog. The tab allowing multiple pages per sheet and some other settings are completely missing. Maybe this is related to this problem: https://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-p-7 … 72048dc43d

It might have something to do with that, actually - cups support missing in some of the qt5 or plasma packages. I just pulled up the qt5-base PKGBUILD and looked into it, but cups support is enabled by default in there. Just to make sure, I did a recompile with an explicit "-cups" option for the configure script but with no effect.
The problem is, I am really overwhelmed by the score of qt5 and kf5 and plasma packages, so I have absolutely no idea where to start looking into this. This might be fixed with one configure parameter in one of the many packages, but which one?
This is very frustrating, because setting printing options worked fine with KDE4 versions of the programs, and still does with everything running under GTK. To be able to make correctly scaled printouts of PDF files I've installed evince now, but I really do like okular better.

There is nothing to look for, this is simply not implemented in Qt5 yet (and has nothing to do with Plasma btw)

Seriously? I mean, I can understand that support for printer-specific stuff might be on the backburner, but I find it quite astonishing that nobody thought that media type selection might be important for printing. Or scaling to print at the right size. So I guess that I'll have to stick with evince for a while.
