gpg cannot use key-servers

When i use engimail or gpg --refresh-keys i get "no keyserver available".

It does not make any difference if i specify a different key-server or kill dirmngr or similar solutions proposed in other threads.

Any idea how i could find out, what the problem is or fix it?

Re: gpg cannot use key-servers

Known issue, fixed in 2.1.17-2

Edited to fix number transposition.

Re: gpg cannot use key-servers

Same issue here with pacman-key --refresh-keys
What exactly do I have to upgrade to v2.1.17-2 (since I can't upgrade my system)?

Re: gpg cannot use key-servers

If you haven't updated your system in over eight months, you're using the wrong distro. If you have updated your system, then you should already have gnupg 2.1.17-2 or later (version in core is currently 2.1.21-3) and you don't have the same problem. Either way, please don't necrobump.
