Wine virtual desktop mode ~ how to disable the annoying menubar?

I've been trying to play Dragon's Dogma with the virtual desktop, and the thrice-damned menubar intercepts my mouse clicks at the most annoying of times.

How do I disable it via the registry? I've look on WineHQ and I've looked through the registry and couldn't find anything useful.

Help much appreciated! smile

Re: Wine virtual desktop mode ~ how to disable the annoying menubar?

What menubar are you referring to? Do you mean the "panel" bar that's normally shown in your GUI? What windowing system are you using?

If this is a full-screen game, then the panel bar should not still be visible.

Edit: I've seen this problem before, but thankfully not experienced it for a long time. I use XFCE.

Re: Wine virtual desktop mode ~ how to disable the annoying menubar?

The panel shows up when I run Steam in virtual desktop mode, which I cannot avoid. And somehow, because of that, when I'm running Dragon's Dogma fullscreen within the virtual desktop, the mouse can trigger the menubar, disrupting the game. And even more annoyingly, after that happens, pressing spacebar (to make the character jump) minimizes the game, even though it should be fullscreen.

I'm using Kwin and Plasmashell, by the way.
