Touchpad not working on games

I have problems trying to play games on STEAM and also another ones i've downloaded because when i try to move or look to some site, select one option in the game menu or change the video settings it simply don't work it don't respond. But it works fine in all other applications.
What should i do to solve this problem?

What driver? Logs or journal entries? etc.,

[UPDATE] I solved it selecting my user in the log on screen and after in the gear icon that is shown below the user,choosing the GNOME XORG option instead of the one i had by default GNOME
