[SOLVED] iTunes lyrics & audio player

Hello Arch community ! (it's been quite a long time )

I've been using iTunes on iMac for last 7 years, and I've added lyrics and cover art in every mp3 / m4a file using it.
I plan to switch back to Arch Linux in the next few months.

Do you know any console / ncurses / gtk / qt audio player that can display those lyrics when playing them ?

I don't even know where lyrics are stored...

Have you tried searching for this on the internet? First search for where the lyrics are stored, that could be in the id3 tags of the files themselves or in a dedicated db. If they are stored in the id3 tags, then there are several Linux audio players which can support them. If they are stored in a db somewhere, then it might be trickier.

Ok, thanks to eyeD3, I can notice lyrics are embedded.
But in some files, they are truncated

edit: I'm pretty sure it's related to the id3 version.

I will (re)try ncmpcpp to see if they appear in the lyrics section.

edit: ncmpcpp can fetch the lyrics but won't display those which are embedded

I am sure there are other music players which can do that. Give clementine a try. In any case, keep searching till you find the right one
