[SOLVED] Cannot set custom icon theme after update in Xfce

After performing a full update pulling in changes from the last 1-2 weeks, I cannot set a custom icon theme in Xfce; I was using numix circle before, but now it appears to use gnome icon theme and I can't change it in the Xfce appearance settings.

All of my dotfiles and screenshots of how things should look are here, and here's what the right side of my panel now looks like:

Any help would be great.

I'm guessing you are/were running an unofficial freetype2 package? Infinality, maybe?

Yes, I'm using infinality-bundle. Does that affect it?

Yes, the current harfbuzz requires a current freetype2, and infinaltiy is old and dead. Switch to the repo packages and reinstall gdk-pixbuf2 to rebuild the cache that failed with a harfbuzz error on your last update.

Thanks, I am now aware of this infinality deprecation rabbit hole. Marking solved.
